The Tottenham and Man City youngsters who are set to sign for QPR

QPR are set to sign two young Premier League players on loan.

The Hoops have already been busy in the summer transfer window, letting Jake Bidwell, Joel Lynch, Alex Baptiste, Jordan Cousins and Pawel Wszolek leave following the end of their contracts, while Matt Ingram joined Hull City.

Lee Wallace has joined from Rangers, Lee Kelly has come in from Livingston and Yoann Barbet made the move across west London from Brentford.

And now they are set to announce two loan signings from the Premier League.

football.london understands that QPR will sign Tottenham youngster Luke Amos and Manchester City midfielder Matt Smith on season-long loans.

Amos is a 22-year-old midfielder who has come through the ranks at Spurs and has often been part of Mauricio Pochettino's first team squads.

He made his way up through to his first team debut in the first game of the 2018/19 season, coming off the bench during the 2-1 win over Newcastle United.

But his season was ended soon after, picking up an anterior cruciate ligament injury while playing in the Premier League 2.

Smith is a 19-year-old midfielder who has been with the Premier League champions since joining from West Brom's youth team in 2013.

He spent the 2018/19 season on loan with Dutch second division side FC Twente, playing 34 times as they won the title by 11 points. Smith scored two goals, and provided one assist.

Rangers have beaten off competition from former City captain Vincent Kompany for his signature, with the new Anderlecht boss keen to sign the midfield man on loan this summer.
