The top UK hotspots with free attractions revealed for Bank Holiday

Finding something to do in the school/bank holidays for cheap can be tricky sometimes.

There are plenty of UK hot spots with stuff to do for families for free- and they are right on our doorstep.

This Bank Holiday (Monday, May 27) sees the UK’s biggest hotel company highlight the attractions people can enjoy over the long weekend – without spending a penny.

Premier Inn , which has 800 hotels right across the UK, is revealing the nation’s best-loved free attractions from Scotland to the south coast.

The hotel company, which lets kids stay and eat for free, surveyed 2,000 adults to determine the best budget-friendly things to do in the UK and the regions.

It appears UK residents are a fan of history and culture, with the three top rated free attractions revealed as the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the British Museum. In at fourth is Brighton Beach, a must-visit for beach lovers.

However, it is not just museums and coastal towns that top the list, with the UK choosing to explore the great outdoors, with both Lake Windermere and the Peak District National Park featuring in the top ten. Great Yarmouth Beach was also given a commendation as a fantastic free family destination.
