Bishopbriggs Academy has been awarded the title of '‘Scottish State Secondary School of the Decade’ by the Sunday Times Parent Power guide.
The league table of state and independent schools across the whole of Scotland was published on Friday, December 3.
And the East Dunbartonshire school was given the accolade due to the school's 'remarkable journey' over the last 10 years.
Alastair McCall editor of Parent Power, said: “Few schools have come so far in the past decade as Bishopbriggs Academy. From not even ranking in our top 50 state secondary schools in 2010 to a seat at the top table now. It is a remarkable journey".
The school however came 10th in the overall list of best performing schools - which is based on pre-pandemic exam results from Higher, Advanced Higher and National 5 outcomes in 2018 and 2019.
