Degrading A&E visits left a frightened Gran soaked in urine TWICE after she spent '24 hours abandoned on a trolley'

A beloved grandmother was found in A&E, ‘soaked in her own urine’, on two separate occasions, according to her devastated family.

One of the incidents saw the 72-year-old being wheeled out of the hospital in a ‘wet-through gown, without any underwear' as doctors said there were ‘no beds’ - despite other medics proclaiming that the patient needed treatment on a ward.

Stays in hospital are a familiar experience for Bury mother-of-four Bridget, says her family.

Known as Bridie to her loved ones, she suffers with a COPD diagnosis and does not yet qualify for oxygen treatment at home.

Pervert, 33, followed schoolgirls as they shopped in the Arndale and 'upskirted' them - before police made disgusting discovery

A pervert who followed schoolgirls around the Arndale and took upskirt pictures of them was found with indecent images of children and bestiality.

Robert Doran, of Middleton, was caught on CCTV by security at the shopping centre taking the vile pictures and was reported to the police.

Officers attended at his home and found him with a stash of category A, B and C images, including the upskirted pictures.

A forensic report showed he had shared some of the images to another user on a messaging system, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

Pleading guilty to operating equipment beneath clothing without consent and possession of indecent images, Doran, 33, was spared a prison sentence. Read the full story here.

Man killed and three people in hospital as serious crash closes major road

A man has died and three more people have been rushed to hospital after a serious collision on Bury New Road.

Drivers have been facing delays this morning (November 3) after police closed the road in Whitefield between Bury Old Road and junction 17 of the M60.

Emergency services rushed out to the scene after being called out to a three-vehicle crash at around 6.10am.

Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that a man was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of emergency services.

Firefighters also cut three casualties from one vehicle before handing them over to paramedics, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said. Read the full story here.

Madchester is once again the talk of the world - thanks to a major fashion collaboration being worn by the stars of Manchester City.

The MDCR-branded fashions, regularly worn by City boss Pep Guardiola on the touchline, have been in high demand since they were launched by Puma and the club at the start of the season.

Madchester, the name that captured the city's music and cultural zeitgeist of the late 80s and 90s, was copyrighted as a brand several years back by two of the city's key fashion and cultural game-changers, brothers Anthony and Christopher Donnelly.

And they've worked closely with City and Puma on the use of the "MDCR" name for the fanwear, while the Madchester brand continues to grow a new following across the world.

On the streets of the only Greater Manchester borough where Covid-19 infection rates are rising

As people mill about Bury town centre on market day, it is only the sight of masks on some shoppers' faces that serve as a reminder of the pandemic.

Across Greater Manchester, Covid-19 infection rates have been falling with Bury currently the anomaly.

It is the only one of the nine boroughs where the week-on-week trend had risen, according to the latest figures.

In the Whitefield West and Park Lane area of Bury, there were 73 cases in the seven days leading up to October 29 - a case rate of 1,052.9 per 100,000 people and almost triple the national average.

The rates in that area have also increased by 128.1pc week-on-week.

New dad, 21, found dead in Wythenshawe after suspected asthma attack in second tragedy to hit family in recent months

Tributes have been paid to an 'amazing' new dad who was found dead after a suspected asthma attack in Wythenshawe.

Lewis Jonas, 21, was discovered having collapsed near a bridge in the Newall Green area on Saturday (October 30) afternoon.

The dad-of-one's cause of his death is not yet known, but Lewis' family say they understand he may have died following an asthma attack.

It is the second tragedy to hit the family in just 14 months after his sister passed away in November, last year.

Lewis, who lived with his parents in Wythenshawe, had recently welcomed his baby daughter into the world just five months ago.
