The top 5 men and women at the Belfast City Marathon

This year's winners of the Belfast City Marathon can now be revealed.

Irish Olympian Mick Clohisey was the first to cross the line in Ormeau Park today after finishing the 26.2 mile race in two hours and 20 minutes.

Co Armagh runner Fionnuala Ross won the women's race, completing it with a time of two hours and 43 minutes.

The 39 th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon has returned to the streets of Belfast this year to much fanfare after a two year hiatus as a result of the Covid pandemic.

Thousands of people have taken part in the gruelling race, which will have seen them go on a small tour of the Belfast area after starting at Stormont at 9am this morning.

The route has been lined with spectators cheering and sending well wishes to the participants, and some even had the chance of getting free jelly beans in Ormeau Park along the way.

Here are the top 5 male and female runners at today's race.
