The Tommy Tiernan Show is back on TV tonight but there's a catch

With the majority of people correctly spending most of their time outdoors this week, it's arguable that not too many TV sets were switched on over recent days.

However, if anyone is looking to relax this evening and relive some of Tommy Tiernan's best moments from the most recent season of his chatshow, you're in luck.

At 22.35 tonight, RTE1 will be showing a repeat of the most recent season (Season 5) of the comedian's beloved chatshow.

At the time, while the host nor the audience knew the identity of the guests until they walk out on stage, that particular episode was memorable.

Speaking with Tiernan that evening were singer Andrea Corr, journalist Nicola Tallant and journeyman Darragh Carroll who talked about his epic boat journey from the coast of Norway around Scotland and home to Ireland.

As for Tiernan's immediate future, his Derry Girls co-star Tara Lynne O'Neill has confirmed that new episodes of Lisa McGee's wonderful comedy will be released early next year.

"It's happening this year, it's definitely happening this year! If we leave it another year, we'll all be old-age pensioners! It will be called 'Derry Old Ones!' No, we're gonna do it this year, so it will be out early next year. We're tied in for the filming date, we're shooting this year," she told the Irish Mirror.

The comedian has also been busy with his beloved podcast with Hector Ó hEochagáin and Laurita Blewitt.

In a recent show, Ó hEochagáiin spoke about the passing of his brother Freddie, in an emotional tribute.

The presenter’s brother, Derek ‘Freddie’ Keogan, died suddenly in Denmark.

Hector revealed his brother sadly died in a bicycle accident in Copenhagen on his way to work, as he paid tribute to Freddie in a special podcast.
