The TNT crew roasted Charles Barkley for taking a nap during the first half of Wizards-Sixers

The Inside the NBA crew on TNT had a long day ahead of them on Sunday with Wizards-Sixers Game 1 opening a triple-header that had a three-plus-hour break thrown in there for the Suns-Lakers game on ABC.

So, it might have been a good idea to conserve energy for the marathon day of basketball analysis. The problem for Charles Barkley, though, was that he chose to take a power nap during the first half of a game he was supposed to offer analysis for.

There was no way that Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith were going to let Barkley slide when that Wizards-Sixers game hit halftime.

When Barkley said that he thought the Sixers did a good job on Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, Shaq had to chime in to point out that Barkley wasn’t even watching the first half. He was asleep! And they had the footage to prove it.

After the whole crew had a good laugh, Barkley admitted, “I was a little tired today, Ernie. I shot a commercial all day yesterday in the sun.”

Hey, it happens, Chuck.

But Barkley is probably supposed to stay awake for the games he’s there to discuss. He’ll have the Suns-Lakers game to sleep.
