It was pretty clear that the Rams wanted to treat their Sunday Night Football home game as the kind of spectacle you’d expect from a primetime matchup in Los Angeles. The Titans, on the other hand, couldn’t care less about what the Rams game ops folks had planned for NBC. They were there to play a football game.
In hopes of pumping up the crowd at SoFi Stadium, famed ringside boxing announcer Michael Buffer was brought in to break out his signature “Let’s get ready to rumble!” catchphrase. It’s a phrase that Buffer reportedly gets paid six figures to say at fights, and you just know he wasn’t happy to see the moment get interrupted on Sunday.
That’s because the Titans kicked the ball off before Buffer could even get to that phrase.
