April 02--The Los Angeles Times All-Star girls' basketball team:
Chelsey Gipson, Palisades, 5-6, Jr. -- Gipson helped Palisades win its second consecutive City Section Open Division title, averaging 17.6 points.
Alexis Griggsby, Sierra Canyon, 5-9, Jr. -- She helped the Trailblazers beat two state champion teams, averaging 17.4 points and 6.6 rebounds.
Valerie Higgins, West Hills Chaminade, 6-0, Sr. -- Moving to point guard, the USC-bound Higgins became the court leader. She averaged 20.4 points and 10.6 rebounds for the Open Division state champs.
Jasmine Jones, Long Beach Poly, 6-1, Jr. -- She averaged 13.6 points and 8.4 rebounds for the Southern Section Open Division runner-up.
Amber Megoza, Santa Barbara, 5-10, Sr. -- The Washington-bound Megoza is Santa Barbara's career scoring leader. She averaged 26.3 points this season.
Leaonna Odom, West Hills Chaminade, 6-0, Sr. -- The Duke-bound Odom averaged 21.1 points and 9.7 rebounds. Her game-winning three-pointer in a regional final led to a state title.
Brittney Reed, Vista Murrieta, 5-10, Sr. -- Reed averaged 18.2 points and 8.9 rebounds for the 30-5 Broncos.
Reili Richardson, Brea Olinda, 5-9, Sr. -- Richardson helped Brea win its 10th state championship. Bound for Arizona State, she scored 26 points in the state Division I title game.
Kayla Washington, Cajon, 6-0, Sr. -- Washington, who signed with Washington State, averaged 22.4 points and 13.5 rebounds for the Division II state champion.
Jayde Woods, Los Angeles Windward, 6-1, Sr. -- The Oregon-bound Woods averaged 12.3 points, six rebounds and six assists playing point guard.
