Bennie Boatwright, Village Christian, 6-10, Sr.: Averaged 27.8 points and 13 rebounds for the Division 1AA champions while displaying the ability to score from inside or outside. Has signed with USC.
Tyler Dorsey, Maranatha, 6-5, Sr.: Had 11 games in which he scored 40 or more points for the Southern Section 4A champions. He averaged 34.4 points and 10.4 rebounds. Has signed with Oregon.
Lonzo Ball, Chino Hills, 6-6, Jr.: There were few players more versatile than Ball, who averaged 24 points, 11.3 rebounds, 9.1 assists, five steals and five blocks for the state Division I runner-ups. Committed to UCLA.
Sedrick Barefield, Corona Centennial, 6-2, Sr.: Used quickness and good shooting skills to help the Huskies reach the Division I regional finals. He was known for making big shots and big plays. Has signed with Southern Methodist.
Lindsey Drew, Fairfax, 6-3, Sr.: The City Section player of the year found ways to contribute in all aspects of the game, scoring, rebounding and passing for assists. He helped the Lions win their first City title since 2007.
M.J .Cage, Mater Dei, 6-10, Jr.: His rise as a defensive force coincided with the Monarchs' success in reaching the Open Division state final. He averaged 13.2 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks.
Jeremy Hemsley, Damien, 6-4, Sr.: Led the Spartans to their first state title in Division III. Averaged 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists per game and was a four-year varsity player. Has signed with San Diego State.
Cody Riley, Sierra Canyon, 6-8, So.: Averaged 15.5 points and 8.9 rebounds for the Division V state champion. Set a championship game record with 22 rebounds in the Division V final.
Rex Pflueger, Mater Dei, 6-6, Sr.: Known for his aggressiveness and versatility. Averaged 16.9 points and 6.2 rebounds while serving as a defensive stopper. Has signed with Notre Dame.
