The key times for Sunday's Wales Airshow 2019

It's nearly here - the Wales Airshow returns to Swansea this weekend another two-day spectacular.

On Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7 crowds of more than 250,000 are set to descend on the city to watch the aircraft take to the skies.

Here are all of Sunday's key timings you need to know so you don't miss any of the action...

What time does it start?

The RAF's Typhoon plane which has been confirmed will appear at this year's Swansea Airshow (Paul Johnson)

The ground displays will open at 10am before the air displays get under way with the Red Arrows kicking things off at 11.30am.  It will be the second display they will have done at the event - as they are the last display on Saturday.

There will be live music on offer on the Oystermouth Road stage at 12pm, with an RAF police dog display also planned.

The Cenotaph Stage will also have live music at 12pm.

Between 1.30pm and 2.15pm there will be a break in air displays. Instead, at 1.50pm the Sir Arthur Whitten Brown centenary transatlantic flight parade will be taking place.

There will be another chance to see the RAF police dog display at 1.45pm and at 3.30pm there will be an opportunity to meet the Tigers Parachute display team.

What time does it finish?

The air displays will end at 4pm, with the ground displays closing at 6pm.

Timings are subject to change and the full timetable will be available on the Airshow app.

A spokesman for Swansea Council said: "Naturally, there may be changes to the running order on each day and the Airshow App, which had 90,000 page views last year, will have full details of any changes the moment they happen.

"In addition to this the App also has a range of offers from local restaurants, bars and tourism businesses as the city centre will continue to be open during the weekend."
