One of the best parts of Gavin & Stacey is the wealth of one liners and catchphrases that have entered everyday vocabulary.
'Crackin', 'alriiiiii?' and 'where's the salad' are stock phrases for any fan.
But co-creator Ruth Jones has revealed that one fan got a bit over zealous with the 'what's occurring' - at her mother-in-law's funeral.
Jones, who plays Nessa in the hit BBC comedy, which returns this Christmas, talked about the exchange while publicising the new episode.
"In my mother-in-law’s funeral someone came up and said 'what’s occurring!' said the actress and writer from Porthcawl.
"And I said 'well, my mother-in-law’s just died. That’s what’s occurring.' And they replied, 'Oh yes of course…..'"

Ruth was speaking about the way in which Gavin & Stacey-isms have become everyday vocabulary for many people.
She added: "One thing that me and my husband always say, if one of us buys something and the other says 'oh, that's nice.' The other will say 'TK Maxx', and we’ll go 'can’t go wrong.'"
Rob Brydon added that he gets asked about the fishing trip, he said: "I get called Bryn a lot, sometimes I get quoted at and I have no idea what they are talking about.
"I think fans of the show know more than us."
Gavin & Stacey returns to BBC One on Christmas Day at 8.30pm.
