Jose Mourinho's arrival at Tottenham Hotspur was always going to lead to speculation over new arrivals in January and future transfer windows.
At Chelsea, Inter, Manchester United and Real Madrid he was a demanding manager when it came to getting business done and money spent on players that fit the profile he looks for when building a squad.
Power, presence and personality are three key values that the Portuguese places a premium on after building his reputation on winning - and winning ugly if he has to.
Mourinho is not a boss who will play down the importance of the domestic cup competitions as Mauricio Pochettino did during his reign at Tottenham.
He threw first team regulars at Middlesbrough in the third round of the FA Cup but has already lost Harry Kane to injury with question marks remaining over Tanguy Ndombele and his fitness issues.
What's more, Tottenham still have issues to resolve from the summer when Kieran Trippier was sold without being replaced. Fans will be eager to see signings in January.
The question is who Spurs should be bringing in and with that in mind football.london asked three of our team for the signings they would like Mourinho and Daniel Levy to sign based on what the squad need and the players linked so far.

Max Aarons
The young Norwich City right-back ticks all the boxes for Tottenham. They need a new right-back and one who can make it their own for the long term.
At a reported £30million, Levy could see Aarons as an investment, much in the same way as he did with Ryan Sessegnon.
Hakim Ziyech
The Ajax midfielder also fits what Spurs need perfectly with his creativity and guile.
Former Tottenham boss Martin Jol even flagged him up to football.london as a player the club needed to bid for back in June 2019 .
Ziyech will be allowed to leave Ajax this month if the right offer comes in, again believed to be as low as £30million due to his relationship with the Dutch giants.
He has stayed for longer than other teammates already snapped up from that side that went on a Champions League run to the semi-finals last season, only to be knocked out by Spurs in dramatic fashion.
Dries Mertens
Tottenham have looked at the Belgian for years but a deal has never happen.
Now 32-years-old, the Napoli attacker, who can play up front or out wide, could well help out their striker problem and join up with his compatriots Alderweireld and Vertonghen.
Mertens' contract is up in the summer so he is likely to be available on the cheap this month and he could add some experience in the forward areas.
It would be a very un-Spurs move, but they showed with Llorente that they will buy a veteran striker if the occasion calls for it.

Merih Demiral
The Juventus defender has found himself in the headlines over the past few weeks with a January move a possibility.
The Bianconeri have plenty of defenders and Demiral would be a good acquisition for Spurs if he does end up leaving Turin before the transfer deadline.
A loan exit could be on the cards and it would make more sense than splashing big money on Dayot Upamecano as RB Leipzig want around £70million for the Frenchman.
Marouane Fellaini
Now this is a deal that probably wouldn't go down well in N17 if completed.
The midfielder has divided opinion ever since joining Everton in 2008 but he does have a major impact in the 18-yard box.
Jose Mourinho knows all about him and he could play a key role in enticing him back to the Premier League if a deal can be done with Chinese side Shandong Luneng.
Spurs are crying out for a new midfielder and Fellaini ticks that box, while he would also give the team another option upfront as they don't have someone to throw on and cause danger in the box like they did with Fernando Llorente last campaign.
Danny Ings
Ings is now getting a regular run of games after such a frustrating time through injury over the past few years.
The ex-Liverpool man currently has 13 goals for the season and he could well finish on more than 20 given his current form in front of goal.
The 27-year-old is such an underrated frontman and he would fit in perfectly at Spurs and provide cover for Harry Kane.
However, the problem would be convincing Southampton to cash in on their star man as it could prove costly in their battle to stay in the top flight.

Jack Butland
Hear me out here. Hugo Lloris remains sidelined and Paulo Gazzaniga has hardly covered himself in glory in his absence.
Michel Vorm came back on a short-term deal as cover, showing the extent of the issues Spurs have in between the sticks.
Butland is in the Championship with Stoke, has yet to fulfil his true potential and is out of contract in 2021 so could be available on a cheaper deal than he may have been otherwise. Worth a punt.
Nordi Mukiele
Right-back is an area that needs attention and has been for some time now.
If any position is going to be strengthened in January that has to be it.
Unfortunately, spending big money on Norwich's Max Aarons or Leicester's Ricaro Pereira would appear to be out of the question for Daniel Levy.
Nordi Mukiele is a name that has been linked. The RB Leipzig full-back has impressed in the Bundesliga this season and could command a lower price than either of the two England based players.
Callum Wilson
With Harry Kane injured and the England skipper still being the only recognised first team striker at the club, a new forward would be useful to sign too.
A number of clubs have been linked with a move for Napoli frontman Dries Mertens and while I like him, he doesn't strike me as a Jose Mourinho forward.
Callum Wilson has been on the bench in recent weeks for Bournemouth and with the Cherries struggling for form he could be looking for a way out of the club.
Chelsea have been linked with a move previously, and he would cost a pretty penny, but if there's one position it's worth shelling out for on this January it's up front.
