The three Swansea City stars and Cardiff City duo named in top 50 EFL players as omissions raise eyebrows

Wales stars David Brooks, Kieffer Moore, Harry Wilson and Luke Jephcott have all been included in FourFourTwo's list of top 50 Football League players for 2021.

Bournemouth ace Brooks is sixth on the list of the best players in the three tiers below the Premier League - with Brentford's Ivan Toney taking top spot.

He is closely followed by Swansea City star Andre Ayew who is seventh while the Ghanian's club mates Marc Guehi and Conor Hourihane are 15th and 16th respectively.

Cardiff City striker Moore - who netted his fifth goal for his country against Mexico last month - is 19th on the list while Wilson is 28th.

Elsewhere, Plymouth Argyle frontman Jephcott - who has represented Wales at Under-21 level - takes 33rd place, which puts him ahead of the likes of Cauley Woodrow, James Vaughan, Aiden McGeady and Nick Powell.

It means there is no place on the list for the likes of Connor Roberts or Sean Morrison who have both excelled at club level this season.
