The Three Musketeers stick to their roots to deliver comedy gold in the Helix's Christmas panto

The Three Musketeers is one for all and all for one!

But this is not your typical male-dominated fairy-tale. Centred around Merryville, the dynamic trio is guided by the strong and fiercely independent Daria (or otherwise known as Diarrhoea) as the third musketeer and played wonderfully by panto regular Orla Jennings.

The story follows their quest to find the stone of destiny in order to defeat the evil Lord Beautface played brilliantly by Irish tenor Paul Byrom.

The cast take us with them on their journey and along the way we are introduced to some hilarious characters, Buddy, Jean Luc, Windemere and of course everyone's favourite panto Dame, Lola.

Although the script is very modern and up to date with current affairs, they have still managed to stick to the roots of traditional panto, with something in there for everyone to enjoy.

An audience favourite was definitely the rap battle and the interlude of every household favourite Alexa.

The costuming and stage set was outstanding making the performance all the more believable.

The song choices throughout the show had the whole audience dancing in their chairs and they even manage to choreograph a little dance number to everyone’s favourite hit song ‘Dance Monkey’.

All cast members give a heartfelt performance, including real life dog little Bradley who stole the show.

The cast resemble one big family and with great team effort they manage to deliver comedy gold, joy and happiness to the audience, making us all feel like part of something special.

The Helix Panto is a Christmas necessity for all families and is a wonderful day out over the festive season for everyone to enjoy and this years ‘The Three Musketeers’ will not disappoint!

Three Musketeers is doing an eight-week run from November 22, 2019 to January 19, 2020.
