The three Liverpool players who will miss Chelsea FA Cup tie

Tonight Chelsea and Liverpool meet for the third time across three different competitions this season.

The two teams have already faced off in the Premier League as well as the Super Cup this term, with the Reds coming out on top in both games which includes a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

This is the last chapter of a four-game home run which will shape Frank Lampard's first season at Blues head coach.

Jurgen Klopp believes Chelsea could be favourites vs Liverpool

His side lost to Manchester United, but beat Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, only to suffer a damaging 3-0 loss at the hands of Bayern Munich in a Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie.

Up next is the visit of the runaway Premier League leaders, who are smarting from a 3-0 loss against Watford at the weekend.

Speaking of the Reds, manager Jurgen Klopp delivered some mixed injury news during his pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon.

The good news is that Joe Gomez and James Milner are available once again.

"No new ones [injuries], I think. Joe and Millie are back," Klopp told reporters . "The others aren't."

This means there are three senior Liverpool players who will miss tonight's FA Cup tie against the Blues.

This list includes captain Jordan Henderson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita.

The latter is suffering with a hip problem which isn't too serious, but serious enough to rule the Guinea international out of the trip to the capital.

"[It is] a little, little, little bit but enough with his hip. I can’t really say more, that’s the only information I got from the medical department," Klopp added. "[He] is not ready [but] could be ready after that game, but for that game not. It’s not serious but obviously serious enough."

As for the Blues, Lampard has revealed that he will be without four key players and Andreas Christensen is a doubt.

"Andreas Christensen has a small issue, which we're going to give it another 24 hours but probably puts him out of the game," the Blues head coach confirmed. "There are no fresh returns from the injury list.

"Beyond that there's no Tammy Abraham, no Christian Pulisic, no Callum Hudson-Odoi, no N'Golo Kante."
