The three former Swansea City players voted in FourFourTwo's best 100 players in the last decade

It's been another whirlwind decade for Swansea City who have enjoyed seven seasons of Premier League football as well as tasting League Cup glory in recent years.

And as 2019 draws to a close, we took a look back through the history books.

Much-loved football magazine FourFourTwo are due to publish their list of the best 100 players in the world for 2019.

So we took a look back at their lists since 2010, and a total of three former Swans feature.

You'd do well to guess who they are, mind.

Two players feature twice, while another was included after Euro 2016.

Here goes...

Frank Lampard was ranked as the 13th best player in the world in 2010 while he was 56th a year later.

The Chelsea boss made nine appearances for the Swans during a loan spell from West Ham in the 1995/96 season.

The other man to feature on two lists in the last decade is Fernando Llorente.

The Spaniard - who was playing for Athletic Bilbao at the time - was 92nd in their list for 2011 while he rose 27 places to 65th in 2012.

Llorente had just one season in South Wales, although it was a memorable one as he netted 15 goals to help keep the Swans in the Premier League before joining Tottenham.

And then there's number three. Renato Sanches.

The young midfielder rose to prominence after helping fire Portugal to Euro 2016 glory in France, with Sanches earning the Golden Boy award.

Although his time at Swansea was a disaster to say the least.

Sanches - now at French outfit Lille - made only 15 appearances during his loan spell at SA1 and failed to score a single goal for the club.

Here's to the next decade.
