Ivor Pandur has revealed how glowing recommendations from former Rangers players helped convince him to swap Hull City for Ibrox.
The Croatia international has shared dressing rooms with several ex-Gers in recent seasons and says their verdicts left him in no doubt about making the move. Now installed as Rangers’ new goalkeeper following Jack Butland’s departure, Pandur is relishing the chance to experience the Ibrox atmosphere for himself.
Speaking to RangersTV, the 26-year-old explained how he sounded out trusted voices as soon as it became clear a deal was close. “Everyone was talking about it,” he said.

“Even the guys who were here in the past, John Lundstram and Kieran Dowell who I played with last year, all said you’ll never experience something like it.
“They said it’s one of the biggest clubs that you can sign for, and that’s why I didn’t have much thinking to do.”
Pandur also leaned on his international connection with former Rangers striker Antonio Colak, whose praise only strengthened his conviction that Ibrox was the right stage for his next step.
“When I knew it was really serious and it could be done, it was the first thing I did. I wanted to hear their thoughts and experiences about everything,” he added. “But everything they said just made me surer it’s what I want to do.
“I even spoke to Antonio Colak, who was here. I played alongside him for Croatia, and like everyone, he was full of praise for the club and the people, which I can already feel.”
