The three Arsenal players Mikel Arteta is tipped to sell in the January transfer window

Mikel Arteta has moved from Manchester City to Arsenal and his arrival is likely to shake things up at the Gunners ahead of the January transfer window.

The position at Arsenal opened up following Unai Emery's sacking last month, with Freddie Ljungberg put in temporary charge of his old side.

Arteta played for the Gunners from 2011 to 2016 before he retired and joined the Manchester City coaching staff under head coach Pep Guardiola.

Now the Spaniard has been entrusted with the task of turning around the club's fortunes after a rough start to the season which has seen the Gunners fall down to tenth.

Mikel Arteta on Arsenal's philosophy when he joined as a player

On the cusp of the January transfer window, Arsenal could be set for plenty of incomings and outgoings next month as Arteta plans to make his mark on his new squad.

This has led to speculation on who may join the club but three players are now being tipped to depart as well.

Ladbrokes have offered up odds on three players who could leave and naturally the shortest odds on the list belong to Mesut Ozil. The German has been long linked with an exit from the Emirates. Fenerbahce are said to be closing in on a loan deal as the 31-year-old edges toward leaving.

Granit Xhaka is another player at short odds and there is no wonder why considering the furore he caused earlier this season after being booed by fans as he left the field in the draw against Crystal Palace. Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin have been linked.

The final player on the list is a man in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who has continually insisted that he is happy at the club but still finds himself linked with a departure.

To leave Arsenal odds in January below

Mesut Ozil - 1/6

Granit Xhaka - 8/11

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 5/2
