The terrifying Halloween estate with 'run-over' skeleton clowns, shaking figures and a graveyard

More than 23 houses on an estate in Bridgend have been stunningly decorated for a Spooky Trail this weekend.

The Parc Derwen estate residents have out-done themselves with their decorations this year. There are terrifying looking clowns, moving, tremoring scary figures, flashing lights and grim looking graveyards.

Visitors are being asked to donate £2 for a map and voting card so they can say which they think is the best decorated house.

On the voting card people following the trail will also be asked which charity they would like to see funds raised from the frightening attraction go to.

There are also competitions for the best scarecrow and best dressed.

This is the second year the estate residents have decided to decorate their houses for Halloween, with their main event being their Christmas displays.

The Christmas displays started after Kerri Ince, a resident of Parc Derwen, was diagnosed with cancer and wanted to raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre. Specifically she wanted to help pay for books made that explain to children what might happen if a loved one is undergoing treatment.

Kerri said: "We started this back in 2018, and as the estate started to grow we have been able to grow and start Halloween and we hope to put more events on all year round."
