The tender moment following World Cup quarter-final which highlights rugby's core values

New Zealand superstar Kieran Read has showed the values of rugby following his team's World Cup demolition of Ireland.

The All Blacks skipper was filmed with Ireland flanker Peter O'Mahony following the quarter-final in Tokyo.

Read smiled, waved and spoke to the young daughter of the man who captained the Lions in the opening Test with New Zealand two years ago.

But his attempt to draw a high five from O'Mahony's child failed.

Her father had seemingly forgiven Read and the All Blacks for the 46-14 hammering.

But it appeared his daughter hadn't. Either that or she was shy!
