Over the last few seasons, Chelsea’s lack of clinical finishing has been a real issue for them, with Eden Hazard being the top scorer in the last campaign.
Alvaro Morata was the big hope, but flopped, while Gonzalo Higuain never settled into the Premier League during his short spell with the Blues.
Frank Lampard's big selection has been who would lead the line this season among the three players at his disposal.
Olivier Giroud had a great Europa League campaign, with Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi both coming back from loan spells.
It appears that Abraham has won the battle to be the main man up top with four goals in two games.
However, it might not be over if the young striker goes through a drought period, with Giroud the likely candidate to take his place.

It's probably in the striker role. Tammy Abraham or Oliver Giroud. Both bring something different to the team, and it may be the case of selecting who starts based on who the Blues are playing each week.
Abraham has the shirt at the minute, and is proving that he can score goals at this level with four goals in his last two appearances. If that form carries on then Lampard will have no choice but to start him every week.
However, Olivier Giroud has recently spoken about his determination not to be the number two striker at the club and he can bring Premier League experience that Abraham doesn't currently possess.
The Frenchman is more adept at bringing others into play in the attacking third and a knack for stepping up when it matters, which could be invaluable for Lampard come the end of the campaign.
