The Talk's Carrie Ann Inaba reveals Sharon Osbourne sent her flowers after axe

The Talk star Carrie Ann Inaba revealed that she has received a message from Sharon Osbourne in a touching gesture after the show returned to air.

It comes days after The Talk resumed on CBS and saw the remaining presenters address the recent controversy in a frank discussion.

Weeks after the popular US show was taken off air, during which time Sharon left the show, it appears that the television star is keen to put any rumoured bad blood behind her.

Taking to social media, Carrie Ann revealed on Tuesday that she had received a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from her ex-co-star.

The message from Sharon, attached to the flowers, read: "Dearest Carrie Ann, Thinking of you. Be fabulous! Love Sharon."

In response, Carrie added: "Thank you @sharonosbourne. Thinking of you too," alongside a heart symbol.

Carrie and Sharon's exchange came shortly after Sheryl Underwood opened the show alongside panelists Amanda Kloots, Elaine Welteroth and Carrie.

During the first episode, the panel touched upon what had recently happened on the show and Sheryl claimed she was feeling 'PTSD' after her on-air spat with Sharon.

"I feel like I am in PTSD because it was a trauma and I feel like I want to get past this because I really wanted to get to work with my friends and my colleagues," she said on Monday.

In March, Sharon and Sheryl failed to see eye to eye on their beliefs following Piers Morgan's relentless attacks toward Meghan Markle.

Ozzy Osbourne's wife was then accused of racism from some viewers - before Sharon took to social media to apologise for her behaviour.

"To anyone of colour that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or left down by what I said, I am truly sorry. I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive & allowed my fear & horror of being accused of being racist take over," Sharon wrote at the time.

She then confirmed that she was leaving her role on the show after 11 years.

It has since been reported that The Talk producers are not planning to replace Sharon's role on the popular talk show anytime soon.
