The talented Tottenham youngsters to watch against Colchester tonight

Standard Sport's Tottenham reporter Dan Kilpatrick runs the rule over three of the club's rising stars set to feature in the League Cup against Colchester United on Tuesday.

Oliver Skipp

Having made the breakthrough last season, ‘Skippy’ (above) already has 15 senior appearances to his name.

The arrival of Tanguy Ndombele has pushed the 19-year-old down the midfield pecking order but he should have his sights set on leapfrogging injury-prone Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama.

The centre-half, 20, impressed in pre-season, looking more assured than his years against Manchester United and Juventus.

The England youth international, who was born and raised in Hackney, has excelled at academy level, catching the eye with his mighty leap, and he could make his competitive debut on Tuesday.

Another youngster to debut during Spurs’s pre-season trip to Asia, 18-year-old White is considered one of the most talented players in the club’s academy, even if he is unlikely to make a breakthrough this season.

The dead-ball specialist filled in at left-back over the summer but is most at home in central midfield.
