The five in Wales have been revealed as a popular delivery service searches for the UK's number one.
Just Eat's British Takeaway Awards are looking to find the best takeway in the UK, by narrowing down finalists from 12 regions, including Wales.
The Welsh finalists are:
- Mama’s Indian Takeaway , Clear Water Way, Cardiff
- Traditional No 8 Fish & Chip Shop , Cliftonville Street, Whitland
- Uplands Diner , Uplands Crescent, Swansea
- WIWO , Woodville Road, Cardiff
- Wok in A Box , Taff Street, Pontypridd
The top five takeaways in each region that received the most public votes have made it through to the national awards ceremony on January 27, at The Savoy, London.
One finalist from each of the 12 regions will compete for the title of the UK's Best Takeaway.
The 12 regional winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, including TV chef Ainsley Harriot, who will take into consideration the number of votes each finalist received, feedback from a mystery shop, and by reviewing a written submission from the restaurant owners.
The panel will then identify the 12 regional winners and crown an overall winner for the coveted Best Takeaway in Britain award. As well as the accolade of best takeaway, each regional winners will receive £1,000 and the Best Takeaway in Britain will receive £5,000.

"This year, we saw a tremendous amount of votes across Great Britain. The calibre of restaurants is high so the judges will have their work cut out picking a winner.”
