Nicola Sturgeon has showed off her new lockdown haircut after she was reunited her hairdresser for the first time since lockdown restrictions eased.
Wearing a tartan face mask, the First Minister shared her joy at returning to the salon chair on Twitter.
Posing alongside her hairdresser Julie McGuire, Sturgeon captioned the snap: 'The sweetest reunion of all'.
The SNP leader joins the thousands of Scots who received their first haircut as salons across the country reopened for the first time since March.
Safety restrictions remain in place, with both hairdressers and clients being asked to wear face coverings for the full length of appointments.
Her new 'do quickly racked up over 12k likes in less than an hour, with commenters fast to share their own photos from the salon.
One wrote: "Great stuff! Can’t wait to see the outcome."
A second said: "My old dear went for her rug to get fixed tonight too, Boss. Safe to say, it took longer than my hip replacement did in November! Happy hairdo, Chief."
Another commented: "Got mine done today too, feel like a new wummin x."
And comedian Jane Godley replied: "I hear you" along with her own snap of visit to a salon.
