The sweetest job ever? Company is looking for a fudge taste-tester

A confectionery company is on the hunt for a professional fudge taste-tester.

The job at Yorkshire-based fudge subscription service STIRRD requires the successful candidate to collaborate with the development team on exciting new seasonal treats including salted maple and mince pie fudge, as reported by the Daily Record.

Delights will be delivered straight off the production line to be taste-tested as the company relies on you to ensure melt-in-the-mouth flavour quality.

You would also become the star of a new video campaign, with the job description requiring you to be able to express a love of STIRRD's handmade goodness with a sixth sense for all things fudge.

Pay for the role is negotiable depending on experience, so a history of eating and enjoying fudge, as well as the ability to communicate just how yummy it is, will stand you in good stead.

You'll need to be able to work up to 15 hours a week and benefits include annual leave on National Fudge Day. Did we mention you also get to eat fudge?

Rachael Best, Brand Manager at STIRRD, said: “At STIRRD, we pride ourselves on making all our fudge the traditional way, in old copper vats because it truly tastes incredible that way.

"As flavour always comes first for us, we’re looking for a candidate to embody the STIRRD experience. From the all-butter fudge classic to juicy coconut squares, we’re on the lookout for someone who isn’t scared to sink their teeth into our flippin’ amazing product.”

Fudge fans looking to turn their love into something more serious will need to be available for filming in London on Friday, October 4, so be quick! You can apply for the role here.
