The Swansea promenade train is back for the spring and summer season

Summer in Swansea is not complete without a trip on the Swansea Bay Rider Land Train and now it's back for 2022. Adults and children alike can enjoy amazing views of Swansea Bay from the 72-seater land train that trundles along the Swansea prom.

The land train, easily spotted by its red and black colouring and classic train look, began operating again on Saturday, April, 23, and will run every weekend until Sunday, September, 4. The train will also operate every day during the school holidays from Monday, May, 30 to Friday, June, 3 and from Friday, July, 15 to Sunday, September, 4.

A hop on hop off standard ticket is £5.50, for under 16s, students and senior citizens it's £4.50 and for a family of two adults and two children a family ticket is £13. The train runs from Blackpill to Southend and then back, from Southend to Blackpill, as passengers can enjoy the Mumbles seafront from the comfort of the train.
