The Swansea City player ratings as Wolves loanee and defender impress but hosts struggle to inspire against Birmingham City

Swansea City settled for a point against Birmingham City on Saturday as they struggled to break down a stubborn visiting side.

Here's how every Swans player rated.

FREDDIE WOODMAN 6

Decent stop to deny Jon Toral in the first half but had little else to do in truth.

BEN CABANGO 6

Comfortable enough in possession and didn't have a whole lot to do defensively. One lapse to give the ball away in the second half, but generally solid.

JOE RODON - Star Man 7

Some important blocks and won plenty of headers as always. The best of Swansea's defenders.

MARC GUEHI 6

Had a tough battle on his hands when it came to dealing with Lukas Jutciewicz, but the Chelsea loanee held his own. Shielded the ball well on numerous occasions.

CONNOR ROBERTS 6

A good shift from the Welshman who offered himself early on and had more of an influence in the second half too.

KOREY SMITH 6

Did the basics well enough, as you'd expect for a man of his experience in this division.

MATT GRIMES 6

Tested Neil Etheridge with a free-kick and showed some moments of guile. Decent enough.

JAKE BIDWELL 6

Linked up nicely with Jamal Lowe, but was unable to carry as much of a threat as he did at Preston. A solid shift nonetheless.

MORGAN GIBBS-WHITE 7

As was the case at Preston, Gibbs-White was Swansea's liveliest player in attack for long periods. Had a shot saved by Neil Etheridge. Good showing.

ANDRE AYEW 6

Another tireless effort from the Ghana international, but he couldn't quite find the killer instinct Swansea so desperately needed.

JAMAL LOWE 6

Very dangerous when drifting to the left flank and his pace caused some problems. Had nothing much in front of goal though. Subbed.

Liam Cullen (for Lowe) - Too late to change anything. N/A
