The Swansea City player ratings as star adds much-needed bite but trio really struggle at Huddersfield Town

FREDDIE WOODMAN 7

Tipped Trevor Chalobah's effort over early on but was helpless with Karlan Grant's equaliser. Decent saves to deny Alex Pritchard on two occasions in the second half.

CONNOR ROBERTS 6

Bombed forward at every opportunity, giving plenty of support to Andre Ayew in doing so. Impact was limited in the second half. Solid enough defensively.

MIKE VAN DER HOORN 7

An impressive display from the Dutchman who made numerous vital interventions and didn't hesitate to go long when needed. Forced off at the break after being unable to continue following Fraizer Campbell's challenge.

BEN WILMOT 7

A sloppy back pass to Woodman in the first half aside, it was another decent showing from the young centre-back. Stunning last-ditch tackle to thwart Steve Mounie in the second half.

JAKE BIDWELL 5

As was the case against Millwall, Bidwell had a really tough time in defence as Huddersfield caused problems on the Swans' left flank. Unable to get forward too much either.

JAY FULTON 7 - Star Man

Added a bit more bite to the midfield and drilled into the roof of the net for his first goal of the campaign. Did a lot of important gritty work which was just what the doctor ordered at times.

MATT GRIMES 6

A much-improved display from the captain who was more slick in possession which proved vital as the hosts looked to control proceedings. A few decent deliveries, although with no end result.

ANDRE AYEW 6

Back on the right flank, the Ghanaian did a lot of defensive work, which contributed to his limited impact further up the pitch, although that was no fault of his own.

BERSANT CELINA 5

Aside from a few flashes in the first half, the Kosovan desperately struggled to stamp his authority on the game. Hooked on the hour mark.

KRISTOFFER PETERSON 5

Making his first league start since the loss to Brentford, Peterson couldn't really get the beating of his man. Did little wrong, but didn't offer the threat required either.

BORJA BASTON 5

A mere runner for long periods. Barely had a sniff, which was no fault of his own, but his hold-up play wasn't up to scratch either. A tough night for the Spaniard. Also yellow carded.

Subs

Ben Cabango (for van der Hoorn) - Making his league debut for Swansea, the Welshman  cut a composed figure and read play well. 7

George Byers (for Celina) - Booked shortly after coming on but was helpless in his efforts to get Swansea on the attack. 5

Sam Surridge (for Peterson) - Operating on the left, the attacker put a shift in and looked lively, creating a chance for himself in the final stages. 6
