The Swansea City player ratings as Rhian Brewster and defensive colossus help Swans claim a point at Preston

FREDDIE WOODMAN 6

Barely tested in the opening half until he had to pick the ball out of the net as Scott Sinclair put the hosts ahead. Decent enough in the second half under the high ball, but didn't really have any big saves to make.

KYLE NAUGHTON 6

More than assured on his return to the team after missing the Stoke loss due to illness. Very solid defensively. Didn't offer too much offensively, although he can be more than happy with his efforts.

MARC GUEHI  7

The Chelsea loanee impressed alongside Joe Rodon on what was his second appearance for the Swans. Did really well with the aerial threat of Alex Neil's side.

JOE RODON 8

Like he's never been away. On what was his first start for more than three months, Rodon cut a typically composed figure and make some vital tackles and headers whenever Preston pressed.

JAKE BIDWELL 6

Did relatively well until Sinclair started to get in possession. Preston enjoyed a fair amount of joy down Swansea's left, with Darnell Fisher causing problems too. Booked for fouling Sinclair and was perhaps lucky to escape a second caution for tripping the same man.

CONOR GALLAGHER 7

Brilliant shimmy and pass in the buildup to Swansea's equaliser, and the Chelsea man was slick in everything he did. Influence waned somewhat in the second half, but still a decent display.

MATT GRIMES 6

A gritty display from the captain, but Ben Pearson bossed things in midfield.

ANDRE AYEW 6

Cut a frustrated figure in the first half and often felt the wrath of the home fans. However, got himself an assist as Rhian Brewster levelled on 33 minutes. Brilliant pass to Bersant Celina in the second half should have seen him claim a second assist.

GEORGE BYERS 6

Solid enough in the opening half as Swansea edged proceedings. Did ok the restart and linked up play nicely for those further up the pitch. Subbed.

BERSANT CELINA 7

Continued his impressive form, with his direct runs causing plenty of problems. Stung the palms of Declan Rudd in the first half, but fluffed his lines after the restart when played through on goal by Ayew. Final ball was often lacking, but the intentions were there. Booked.

RHIAN BREWSTER - Star Man 8

Barely had a sniff early on but battled admirably. Was in the right place at the right time to bundle home his second goal for the Swans just five minutes after Preston went ahead. Won plenty of aerial duels and showed his willingness to get stuck in after being booked. Great shift.

Subs

Jay Fulton (for Byers) - Put in a lovely cross just after coming on. Helped see out the game. 6

Liam Cullen (for Brewster) - Great to see him get his league debut. Too late to make an impact though. N/A
