The Swansea City player ratings as Newcastle United loanee Freddie Woodman shows why he was signed and midfield ace stars again at Derby County

The Swansea City player ratings from the draw with Derby County at Pride Park.

Freddie Woodman - Star Man 9

Reacted quickly to deny Martyn Waghorn in the first half and looked comfortable from set-pieces. Made a stunning stop to keep Waghorn's penalty out just before the break and an impressive double save just after half-time. A clean sheet was deserved for what was a fine performance.

Jake Bidwell 7

Got forward well and won the ball on a few occasions, but was bailed out by Woodman after bringing down Jayden Bogle to concede a penalty.

Joe Rodon 8

Won so many balls in the air and read play very well. A very impressive display from the Welshman.

Mike van der Hoorn 8

Looked very comfortable at the back and headed just wide midway through the first half from a corner. Another solid performance from the big Dutchman.

Connor Roberts 8

Got forward well as always and was a real threat on the right flank. Did well defensively too.

Matt Grimes 8

Played a very important role in the middle as he helped his partner in crime Jay Fulton limit Derby's attacking threat. Earned a booking for his troubles, but it was another top display from the captain.

Jay Fulton 8

Made so many vital interventions in the first half to stop the Rams on the counter-attack. Hugely influential in limiting the attacking talents of Phillip Cocu's men.

Aldo Kalulu 6

His pace caused Derby problems on a few occasions, but his final ball was sometimes lacking. Replaced midway through the second half after going down injured.

Bersant Celina 7

Looked more dangerous back in his favoured No.10 role. Linked up play nicely, although the Kosovan wasted a decent chance from the edge of the box on the stroke of half-time. Final ball was lacking on occasions, but quality was there for all to see.

Nathan Dyer 6

Had a shot blocked in the second half. But all in all, it was a relatively quiet showing for the winger. Subbed in the second half.

Borja Baston 6

Had a shot well saved by Kelle Roos on the stroke of half-time, but that was about it from the Spaniard. Replaced in the second half.

SUBS

Kristoffer Peterson (for Dyer) - A few decent forays forward, but unable to provide the end product needed. 6

Yan Dhanda (for Kalulu) - Didn't make much of an impact. 6

Sam Surridge (for Borja) - Fired wide with his only effort on goal. 6
