The Swansea City player ratings as Liverpool loanee Rhian Brewster runs riot and attack clicks at Middlesbrough

The Swans thumped Middlesbrough in their first post-lockdown Championship match, ending the game 3-0 thanks to a double from Rhian Brewster and a goal from Andre Ayew.

Here's how Steve Cooper's side rated.

FREDDIE WOODMAN 7

A mere spectator against Jonathan Woodgate's side. Didn't have a single shot on target to deal with. A very comfortable return for the Englishman.

CONNOR ROBERTS 7

Back in action against the club at which he endured a torrid loan spell, Roberts slotted in seamlessly at right-back. Gave Aldo Kalulu plenty of support and was untroubled defensively.

BEN WILMOT 8

The Watford loanee came in for the injured Joe Rodon and had a fairly routine return to action. Comfortable on the ball and barely troubled defensively.

BEN CABANGO 8

His physical presence helped restrict Boro's attack, and his composure on the ball was evident again. Another mature performance from the Welshman.

JAKE BIDWELL 7

Linked up nicely with the likes of Matt Grimes and Andre Ayew and Swansea looked lethal on the left flank in the first half. Pragmatic in the second half, but helped his side keep a clean sheet.

JAY FULTON 7

Alongside Matt Grimes, Fulton helped Swansea control things in the centre of the park. Subbed in the second half.

MATT GRIMES 8

The captain always offered himself, with most of Swansea's positive play going through the central midfielder who continued his run of featuring in every league game this term. Top display.

ANDRE AYEW 8

Ran riot on the left wing and got the assist for Rhian Brewster's first goal after a slick one-two with the forward. Scored his 13th league goal of the season from the spot to make it 3-0. Fine effort.

Andre Ayew of Swansea slots home the third goal from a penalty (Magi Haroun/Huw Evans Agency)

CONOR GALLAGHER 8

Very lively in the No. 10 role and won the penalty for Ayew to put Swansea 3-0 up. Work rate was top notch, and he looked slick every time he got on the ball. Wonderful effort.

ALDO KALULU 7

Spurned a glorious chance in the opening stages to give Swansea a dream start, but his pace caused Boro stacks of problems. Dinked cross found Brewster for the second goal, although lucky not to be sent off just before half time. Subbed early on in the second half.

RHIAN BREWSTER - STAR MAN 9

So unlucky not to head in early on, but struck a quickfire brace to put Swansea in total command. So clinical, and his link-up play was a joy to watch at times. Monumental work-rate as ever, and also able to show his support for the Black Lives Matters movement with his celebration. Six goals in total in 12 appearances for the Swans. Superb.

Subs

Jordon Garrick (for Kalulu) - Showed a few exciting flashes, but didn't get much of an opportunity to impress as Boro improved after the restart. But helped the Swans see out the game. 6

Wayne Routledge (for Brewster) - Didn't need to have a significant impact as Swansea changed things around late on. 6

George Byers (for Fulton) - Almost scored at the death, but helped see out the game. 6

Bersant Celina (for Ayew) - Showed his class on the rare occasions he got on the ball. 6

Yan Dhanda (for Gallagher) - Helped see out the victory. 6
