The Swansea City player ratings as Jamal Lowe impresses and defence prove unbeatable against Barnsley

FREDDIE WOODMAN 7

Coped relatively well with Barnsley's press and didn't have a difficult save to make, all things told. Solid display. Another clean sheet.

BEN CABANGO 8

Got himself an assist for Jamal Lowe's opener and defended very well throughout. A very confident display from the Wales international.

RYAN BENNETT 8

Put his body on the line a few times and was more than happy with a no nonsense approach given the state of the pitch. Fine display from the summer signing who continuously cleared danger when needed.

MARC GUEHI 8

Another top display from the Chelsea loanee who made so many clearances and a fair few challenges too.

CONNOR ROBERTS 8

Much improved from the loss to Derby and defended well on the right flank while getting forward when he could too. Spurned a fine chance in the first half, but put in such a shift. Really good performance.

JAY FULTON - Star Man 8

One of few whose passing was decent on what was a turgid playing surface. The Scot made stacks of important interventions. A top graft from the midfielder.

MATT GRIMES 7

Took time to get involved, but had more of an influence as the first half wore on. Fine through ball to Lowe in the second half and got himself an assist too.

JAKE BIDWELL 7

Did his fair share of defending in the first half and wasn't able to get up the left flank as much as he'd have liked. Made plenty of clearances to help alleviate the pressure on Woodman though. Spurned a chance late on.

YAN DHANDA 7

Played his part in the opening goal and looked lively on his return to the starting XI. Looks confident, which bodes well for the Swans.

JAMAL LOWE 8

Took just 76 seconds to bulge the net with what was his first home competitive goal for Swansea. Defensive work impressed and he always carried a threat in the Barnsley half.

ANDRE AYEW 6

A very quiet game from the Swans' top scorer. Typically useful in the air though. Got away with a mistake late on.
