The Swansea City player ratings as duo impress but chant sums up another man's contribution at Blackburn

The Swansea City player ratings from the at Ewood Park.

Kristoffer Nordfeldt 5

Playing out from the back was spot on, but there's no escaping his howler for Blackburn's opener as Nordfeldt twice opted to punch rather than catching the ball. Decent save to deny Jacob Davenport late on. Chants of "he caught the ball" from the Swansea faithful when the goalkeeper claimed a routine cross summed up how the Jack Army feel.

Mike van der Hoorn 7

Continues to carry the ball out from the back with ease. Solid defensively too.

Cameron Carter-Vickers 6

Vital challenge to thwart Bradley Dack on the stroke of half-time but was booked in the second half for fouling Adam Armstrong after being robbed of possession. Generally solid, but a couple of nervy moments in the second half, including one at the death where he got in a mix up with Nordfeldt.

When Cardiff City and Swansea City supporters will discover the South Wales derby dates

Matt Grimes 7

Dropped into a back three, Grimes was solid defensively and delivered a wonderful cross for Oli McBurnie to give Swansea the lead in the first half. Solid.

Connor Roberts 7

Showed no signs of slowing down. Another high-energy shift from the Welshman who drilled an effort just over the bar at the end of the opening half too. Quieter second half in attack.

George Byers 7

Decent shift from the midfielder in the opening half. Had to do far more defensive work after the restart. Subbed.

Jay Fulton 7

Did plenty of the dirty work in the middle and helped Swansea spread play when they wanted to attack from the flanks rather than through the centre.

The five-word Cardiff City tweet from Swansea City hero Lee Trundle that has ruffled a few feathers

Declan John 8 - Star Man

A sterling performance from the Wales international in a left wing-back role. John put in several teasing crosses and was a bundle of energy on the left. Impact was limited after the restart, but encouraging nonetheless.

Wayne Routledge 8

Another impressive shift from the 34-year-old who got an assist for his side's equaliser. Has quickly become an important player after being cast into the wilderness earlier on in the campaign. Subbed at the death.

Oli McBurnie 7

Playing in a deeper role, McBurnie was a real thorn in the side of Blackburn in the middle of the park in the first half. The Scot did his defensive duties as always and linked up well with those around him. Much quieter after the restart though and cut a frustrated figure at times.

Courtney Baker-Richardson 7

Barely involved early on before he got his side back on level terms with a guided header from Routledge's cross. Grew into the match as it wore on and came agonisingly close to doubling his tally soon after, although his shot trickled just wide. Very quiet in the second half and was replaced.

Why Daniel James will not feature for Swansea City at Blackburn Rovers

SUBS

Yan Dhanda (for Baker-Richardson) - A couple of decent moments, but nothing special. 6

Joel Asoro (for Byers) - Stretched the game a little. 6

Nathan Dyer (for Routledge) - Too late to make a real impact. N/A
