The Swansea City player ratings as Conor Gallagher and defensive men impress in gut-wrenching Leeds United loss

Steve Cooper's Swansea City missed out on the chance to move into the Championship's play-off spots on Sunday when former Swan Pablo Hernandez struck in the final minute of play for Leeds United to make it 1-0.

Here's how Swansea's players rated during the game.

FREDDIE WOODMAN 7

Decent saves to deny Stuart Dallas and Patrick Bamford in the opening half. Magnificent stop to thwart Bamford in the second half. Worrying injury late on.

KYLE NAUGHTON 6

Looked solid enough at the back as the Swans kept Leeds at bay until the death.

BEN CABANGO 6

Fortunate that Woodman made the save after the ball fell to Bamford in the first half. Generally did well, though.

MARC GUEHI 7

A colossus in the air. The defender did well against the threat of Bamford.

CONNOR ROBERTS 7

Caused plenty of problems on the right flank and was dangerous when he came in off his wing too. Had to do more defensive work in the second half, but did it well.

JAY FULTON 7

Won possession on numerous occasions to ease the strain on those around him. Booked for his troubles.

MATT GRIMES 7

Vital defensive shift from the captain as the visitors controlled possession for long periods. Range of passing was top notch.

JAKE BIDWELL 7

Another great shift in the wing-back role. Bidwell was a real force in the air and tracked back well to give Swansea's back three support when needed. Got forward at every opportunity.

CONOR GALLAGHER - star man - 7

Was Swansea's brightest spark in attack in the first half. Drew so many fouls, winning a fair number of free-kicks in the process. Set-pieces weren't always up to scratch, but a very lively showing from the Chelsea loanee. Unlucky with a shot after half time.

ANDRE AYEW 7

Put himself about and was generally at the heart of things when Swansea launched counter attacks.

RHIAN BREWSTER 6

Had a few half chances, but not much more. Booked in the first half for dissent, although that spice was needed as Swansea looked to rattle Leeds. Looked frustrated, but his efforts were vital. Subbed.

Subs

Wayne Routledge - Cut a lone figure. N/A

Liam Cullen - No time to make an impact. N/A

George Byers - As above. N/A
