THE Suzuki Swift range is getting a new look and more kit as the Japanese car maker gives its popular model a facelift.
Launched in 2017 the current Swift is the fourth generation of the supermini which has been on sale in the UK since the start of the century.
The latest version will be priced from £14,749 and will feature Suzuki’s mild-hybrid engines across the range in either 1.2 or 1.4-litre capacities. The 1.0-litre Boosterjet variant is being discontinued.
The car also has revised front-end styling which includes softer lines and tweaks around the grille.
Available in SZ-L, SZ-T, SZ5 and SZ5 Allgrip grades, all versions feature air con, rear view camera, radar brake support with adaptive cruise control and seven-inch infotainment touchscreen with smartphone link for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as DAB radio.
Also standard are a leather steering wheel, privacy glass, LED headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, 16in alloy wheels and front electric windows.
The new 1.2-litre Dualjet Hybrid four-cylinder engine has emissions rated from 111g/km and combined fuel consumption of up to 57.2mpg.
The Swift Sport Hybrid has a 48-volt system and was introduced earlier in 2020. It is currently the only self-charging warm hatch model. A CVT gearbox is available optionally for SZ-T and SZ5 with 2WD.
The range tops out at £18,749 for SZ5 Allgrip versions, the same as the CVT variant while the front-wheel-drive Swift SZ5 is priced from £17,749.
SZ5 models also include navigation as standard, while SZ-L and SZ-T models an SD card upgrade is available as a dealer option which enables built-in navigation.
