Liverpool's worrying record at Sheffield United that Reds need to put right

Liverpool have never won a Premier League match at Bramall Lane.

Granted the Reds have only played against Sheffield United three times at their home ground in the domestic competition in 1992, 1993 and 2006 but it's still pretty surprising given the pedigree of both teams.

Of those three results there were two draws played out in '06 and '93 while there was also one loss - a 1-0 defeat in '92.

Jurgen Klopp is set to take his European champions to face the Blades at 12.30pm on Saturday and will of course be looking to put this record to bed once and for all.

Bramall Lane is one of only three grounds Liverpool have played at without winning in the Premier League , along with Nottingham Forest’s City Ground and Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road.

However, in Klopp's favour for the Reds' upcoming match at Bramall Lane is the fact that all of his big players are well rested and ready for action while also coming into the game after winning their first six games of the new Premier League season and carrying a record of 15 runs on the bounce in the competition.

Positively too, Liverpool have won their last 12 Premier League matches against newly-promoted sides.

And in those matches, they have scored 35 times while conceding only four goals in return meaning the hosts will certainly be in for a serious test to preserve their, albeit small, record.
