The supercomputer prediction that Nottingham Forest fans will love to see

Nottingham Forest have been backed to finish in the Championship play-off places come the end of the season.

The Reds are tipped to seal a top-six spot, finishing fourth, alongside Swansea City, Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford.

Sabri Lamouchi’s men will finish with a nine-point cushion inside the play-offs, according to the latest supercomputer prediction by Football Web Pages, and eight points off the automatic spots.

Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion will secure those.

At the bottom of the table, Reading, Barnsley and Stoke are believed to be heading into League One, with the trio going down in that order from 22nd to 24th.

In another alternative, supercomputer table released by Infogol, the picture looks less rosy for the Reds.

Albion and Leeds are again backed to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League, with Leeds once more gaining top spot.

Despite their strong start to the season, Forest are tipped to miss out on the play-offs and end up 10th in the league – where they currently stand. Fulham, Brentford, Swansea and Cardiff are expected to make up the top six.

InfolGol also have Barnsley finishing bottom, with Reading and Stoke joining them in League One, while Luton Town, Wigan Athletic and Middlesbrough all just about escape the drop.
