A traditional pub in Wilmslow is proving a hit with dog owners - and it’s only 30 minutes from central Manchester.
The Ship, in Styal, is a must for owners and their dogs, according to a review left on our sister site 2Chill, no matter the time of year.
Although this weather has got people thinking about beer gardens and suntrap courtyards, you can't beat a cosy pub with a fire come winter time, and The Ship has both.
Rating it as good value with a five-star recommendation, 2Chill user Susan Griffin said: “The Ship's wonderful dog friendly traditional pub in the heart of Styal.
“When it's cold outside, it makes for a super cosy place to warm up after a long walk with delicious food and roaring fires.
“There's also some seating outside for warm summer days and nights.”
With plenty of walking routes nearby, the pub welcomes four-legged punters, and is perfectly located for a little dog walk before popping in for a pint and something to eat.
Take a stroll along the one-mile Southern Woods route, or if you’re feeling super adventurous, the Styal Circuit spans nine miles. You’ll definitely have deserved a drink or two after that.
And of course there’ll be some treats for your dog.
