A national newspaper's annual list of the UK's wealthiest people has ranked Bristol City's owner among the richest in the Championship.
The Sunday Times revealed its 31st annual Rich List last weekend, with the Robins billionaire owner Steve Lansdown placed as 83rd richest person in the country.
Although that is seven places lower than last year, there has been no change in the 66-year-old's finances in 2019 with his wealth calculated at £1.72bn.
The list includes aristocrats, entrepreneurs, financiers, inventors, and of course those who have invested in football clubs or play a role in the running of certain teams.
Steve Lansdown joined Bristol City's board in 1996 before taking over as chairman in 2002. He stepped down in 2011 but remained the club's owner.
While he is in the top 100 richest people in the UK, the billionaire is among the wealthiest British-based owners of a Championship club, second only to Stoke City's Coates family - owners of Bet365.
He is also in the top six richest people involved in football in the country.
Sunday Times journalist Robert Watts writes: "Lansdown's son was six years old when he sent his father down an expensive path by asking to see Bristol City play football.

"Lansdown and Peter Hargreaves were busy building fund manager Hargreaves Lansdown at the time and Lansdown later took control of the Championship club, with other Bristol sporting teams added later.
