More summer drama has arrived. "The Summer I Turned Pretty" returned for season 3 in summer 2025, with Prime Video announcing that the coming-of-age series would be back with an extended 11-episode third season. (Here's how to watch season 3 online, in case you're behind on bingeing.)
Based on Jenny Han's book trilogy, "The Summer I Turned Pretty" follows teenager Isabel "Belly" Conklin as she vacations every summer at a beach house with her family friends, the Fisher brothers Jeremiah and Conrad, and their mom. Belly has always had a crush on the brooding Conrad, but over the years, her relationships with both brothers have begun to evolve in complicated ways.
Season 3 picks up where season 2 left off, with Belly continuing to navigate her tangled feelings for Conrad and Jeremiah. With 11 episodes, fans can expect even more beachside antics, love triangles, and growing pains as Belly figures out who she wants to be.
Even if you haven't yet started the new installment, the expanded episode order hints at an eventful next chapter for Belly and the Fisher brothers. Here's everything to know about "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season 3.
'The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 3 release date
"The Summer I Turned Pretty" returned for its third edition on Prime Video on Wednesday, July 16; as has been the case with the previous seasons of the series, the entire episode count dropped in one fell swoop on that day.
During Amazon's upfront presentation to advertisers on May 14, the company announced that "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season 3 would premiere in summer 2025.
Prime Video announced it had renewed the show in August 2023. Author Jenny Han took to TikTok with a clip of stars Lola Tung, Sean Kaufman, Gavin Casalegno, and Christopher Briney to announce the good news. "Surprise! There’ll be another summer," she wrote. "We’ll be back for season 3 as soon as we’re able.”
Fans crossed their fingers for season 3 to drop in summer 2024, which would follow the pattern of the show's first two season drops one year after the other in summer 2022 and summer 2023. However, the third season was delayed by a year.
Thankfully, to make up for that delay, season 3 consists of 11 episodes — one more than the previously announced 10 and more than season 1's seven episodes and season 2's eight.
'The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 3 cast

"The Summer I Turned Pretty" is centered on three leads: Lola Tung as Isabel “Belly” Conklin, a teen who finds herself in the middle of a love triangle with the two Fisher brothers, with Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah Fisher and Christopher Briney as Conrad Fisher.

'The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 3 plot

After the game-changing season 2 finale that saw Belly seemingly falling in love with Jeremiah as a heartbroken Conrad stands by, the return of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season 3 picks up with a shocking four-year time jump, placing viewers at the end of Belly's junior year of college and with Jeremiah graduating as a senior.
The new eps also see Belly and Jeremiah are in a serious, long-term relationship, however that doesn't mean the romantic drama is over for our heroine.
"Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life," according to official logline for Season 3. "Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same."
'The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 2 ending explained

With that hefty time jump, you might need a refresher on how things ended in season 2. Here's how things went down:
After Conrad interrupts Belly and Jeremiah kissing, it’s as awkward as it sounds. Next up? A painfully uncomfortable car ride, where Conrad isn’t hiding his anger one bit.
When a dangerous storm rolls in, the trio is forced to hunker down for the night in a motel room. The three must deal with the wild feelings and high tension between them and wait out the storm. Conrad and Jeremiah opt for the floor, leaving the bed to Belly.
During the night, Conrad and Jeremiah have a real, raw conversation and make a pact: They won't let their feelings for Belly ruin their bond as brothers. Conrad acts as if he’s moved on from Belly, aiming to give Jeremiah and Belly a shot at happiness.
Belly decides to make it official with Jeremiah. They’re all smiles as Jeremiah takes her to volleyball camp, completely unaware that Conrad is quietly hurting, still very much in love with Belly.
It's clear broken hearts and hurt feelings will abound in "The Summer I Turned Pretty" season 3, and Tom's Guide will be here to guide you through it all.
