The stunning Swansea City player ratings as Jamal Lowe runs riot and defence looks unbeatable against Cardiff City

FREDDIE WOODMAN 9

Didn't have a real save to make in the opening half and was helped out by his defence when it came to nullifying Cardiff's aerial threat. More of the same after the restart in all fairness. Yet another clean sheet for the Newcastle United loanee.

KYLE NAUGHTON 9

Was relatively untroubled defensively, if truth be told. However, he did give Connor Roberts a fair amount of support going forward. Went about his job quietly.

RYAN BENNETT 9

Returning to the starting XI after missing his side's last two games, Bennett did so well to cope with the aerial threat of Cardiff. Booked early on for a classic 'take one for the team' foul on Mark Harris and then could well have been dismissed for fouling Kieffer Moore. However, his presence made a huge difference, and he was a significant cog at the back for his side.

MARC GUEHI 9

Fit to start after missing the 0-0 draw with Bournemouth, the central defender was rock solid in the opening half and was perhaps unfortunate to be booked. Always comfortable on the ball and didn't give the Bluebirds' attackers a sniff.

CONNOR ROBERTS 9

Lovely cushioned header to claim an assist for Jamal Lowe's opener, although he was very lucky not to be punished after losing the ball midway through the first half. Such a threat on the right flank though.

KOREY SMITH 9

Won his side a few free-kicks and was productive in possession too. Gritty and tenacious. A job well done from the central midfielder.

JAY FULTON 9

Drafted back in to add some bite into midfield, the Scot was always on hand to assist his defenders when it came to the long balls that were launched towards Swansea's goal. He was typically slick in possession which made life so much more comfortable for his side. What a shift.

MATT GRIMES 9

Stunning strike was superbly saved by Alex Smithies as Swansea started on the front foot. The captain well and truly led by example and oozed class in the middle of the park though.

JAKE BIDWELL 9

Put the ball into a dangerous area as Swansea took an early lead. Carried more a threat in attack than he has done of late and was untested at the back too.

JAMAL LOWE - Star Man 10

Poked home his third Swansea goal to put the visitors ahead inside six minutes. Lowe looked to be enjoying himself in the Welsh capital and was brimming with confidence by the time he struck a stunning second. Unlucky not to get his hat-trick, but can be enormously pleased with his efforts before being subbed. Stunning display.

ANDRE AYEW 9

Looked well up for it from the outset and was always threatening in Cardiff's half. Hold up and link up play was superb. Cardiff simply couldn't contain him.

Subs

Wayne Routledge (for Lowe) - Helped his side see out the game. N/A.
