The stunning Scottish Twitter account creating unbelievable images of the Inner and Outer Hebrides from the air

A Twitter account is showing off the Inner and Outer Hebrides as you've never seen them before.

The Hebridean Air Services account (@Hebrideanair) is a treasure trove of unbelievable photographs of some of Scotland's best known islands - all taken from a bird's eye view.

The breathtaking shots show off better-known islands such as Mull, Jura and Islay alongside some lesser known gems such as Coll, Tiree and Colonsay.

Martin McWilliam, who works for the Air Company, explained that they operate lifeline flights on behalf of Argyll & Bute Council from Oban to the Islands of Coll/Colonsay/Tiree and Islay and that they also help get the Island school children to and from home at the weekend.

They also offer/operate charter flights throughout the year and scenic flights from April to September.

He added that it's their pilot Yak who captures some of the incredible images of Scotland's stunning scenery, he said: "It’s fair to say that the weather on the inner Hebrides can vary quite a lot throughout the year and no two days are the same.

"We operate in a part of Scotland that on a good day has scenery second to none and I would hope that the pictures we post show this.

"Our pilot (Yak) takes the pictures as he flies between the Islands and he is always bragging that very few people have a view from their office like he has – can’t really disagree with him."
