The stunning harbour village near Edinburgh that starred in a Harry Styles video

Just under half an hour's drive from the capital lies the picturesque little seaside village that recently starred in the video for a song by one of the world's biggest pop stars.

The cast and crew for the Harry Styles project, who never seems to be out of the headlines these days, descended on the small village of Cockenzie and Port Seton to film on location for his hit single Adore You, the second single from Styles' 2019 album Fine Line.

The singer and his team chose the area for its famous harbours, with the nearby St Abbs further along the coast also appearing in the video, and each chosen to stand in for the fictional island of Eroda (which ironically sits on the west coast under Arran).

In the video, which now has over 53 million views and was filmed back in 2019, the former One Direction star plays one of the island's inhabitants and it features scenes shot at the famous Port Seton Harbour, as well as Cockenzie High Street and even the town's popular Thorntree Inn.

At the time, the production crew said that the East Lothian locations alongside St Abbs offered the "perfect setting for the mythical Isle of Eroda".

The coastal town lies on the coast of the Firth of Forth just east of Musselburgh and is in fact two fishing villages that were unified to become one town.

Something that can be seen in the fact the town has two traditional ports, Cockenzie and Port Seaton, which still host more than a few fishing boats, and are beautiful to visit.

Part of the John Muir Way, the town is a stunning walking destination with views out to the Firth and is ideal for escaping the city for an afternoon in the sun.

As you'd expect it's also a great place to buy some of the freshest local catches brought in by the boats and when it comes to fish and chips, the Harbour Takeaway is second to none.
