The strict new social distancing rule in Home Bargains

Like all other retailers that are open during lockdown, Home Bargains has introduced new shopping rules and measures to ensure the safety of shoppers and workers.

These include paying by card where possible and remaining at least two meters from staff and other customers.

The measures echo the likes of supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Aldi and Lidl to name a few - who have all introduced similar rules during the coronavirus crisis.

However, upon visiting Home Bargains, one shopper noticed a new measure being rolled out in stores, the Liverpool Echo reports.

On a recent visit, the customer noticed a new sign at the entrance, advising customers that when possible they must shop alone with only one member per household allowed.

It is due to Home Bargains currently operating a customer limit with shoppers asked to wait outside once this limit has been met.

By adhering to this limit it means each customer can keep a two-metre distance from each other.

Home Bargains stores are allowed to remain open during the lockdown because customers can buy essential items from the stores, including foods.
