The Streets announce new Manchester gig as part of UK tour

The Streets have announced a new Manchester gig as part of a UK tour at the start of next year.

Mike Skinner and his band are playing 02 Victoria Warehouse on February 4, 2022.

It is one of 11 dates announced in cities in the UK, starting in Birmingham on January 21, finishing in Liverpool on February 5

It follows a summer of festival appearances, which will culminate in them playing at Manchester's Castlefield Bowl this Friday, September 25.

The show, part of the Sounds of the City series, was originally due to take place last year was again moved to its current date after originally being penciled in for July 9.

During last year's lockdowns, The Streets put a series of new music to critical acclaim including the mixtape None of Us Are Getting Out of This Life Alive featuring collaborations with the likes of Tame Impala, Donae'O, Greentea Peng and Hak Baker.

Earlier in the summer he also released the single Who's Got the Bag to coincide with the ending of lockdown restrictions.

Tickets for next year's show at the Victoria Warehouse go on sale at 9am on Friday and are available here.
