The strangest delivery requests in Dublin have been revealed by Deliveroo

Deliveroo has revealed some of the most bizarre deliveries for Dublin and it's fair to say that their drivers have come across a lot of strange things while bringing food to customers around the county.

The company has searched through data to find the most unusual delivery requests observed in the capital to date.

The first involves a broken down car on the M50 at Tymon Park. The motorist decided that waiting 45 minutes for breakdown assistance was a long time to be without food.

So, they rushed to the Deliveroo app, ordered the grub and asked the delivery driver to "look out for the broken down Fiesta".

For a daughter's birthday in Sandycove, a family requested in the delivery notes that the special day be marked with the driver singing a rousing rendition of happy birthday - which he was more than happy to do.

But the best and strangest delivery is the female customer who decided to order in a pizza while she was still on her night out.

She was enjoying drinks with friends when she locked in the delivery but told the driver to hide the food so that her housemates wouldn't scoff it up before she got home.

She wrote: "Please, please, please hide my pizza under my car as I won’t be there and my housemates keep eating my food.”

Speaking about the strange capital requests, Joe Groves of Deliveroo said, “Food delivery is less about getting that ‘Saturday night takeaway’ nowadays, because different people have different needs and circumstances.

“Deliveroo recognises this, and we will always do our very best to ensure that our service meets your needs, whatever your circumstances may be.
