The strange moment MP vanishes from Good Morning Britain group video call after heated debate with Piers Morgan

This is the strange moment an MP disappeared during a heated debate on GMB.

Seconds after clashing with TV presenter Piers Morgan, MP Tobias Ellwood vanished from the group video chat during this morning's episode.

It comes as the segment saw Piers and Susanna interview three MPs over the current coronavirus crisis.

One of the MPs, Tobias Ellwood, was questioned by Piers over Boris Johnson's press briefing on Monday night, following his "vague" announcement on Sunday.

But just as tensions were growing higher between the pair over the PM's lockdown guidance, Mr Ellwood's webcam mysteriously went blank, as if he had suddenly left the call.

Co-presenter Susanna Reid interjected straight after to say that they had "lost him".

During the clash, Piers didn't shy away from expressing his anger at Boris Johnson's "muddled" speech on Sunday and yesterday's briefing.

Piers demanded "clarity" and repeatedly asked Mr Ellwood what the PM meant when he told the British public to "stay at home if you can, but go to work if there is no alternative."

Mr Ellwood continued to defend the PM throughout, before suddenly taking aim at Piers himself.

"Piers, we could take three or four segments of you, and your performance, and say you aren't on form." He said.

"Heaven forbid," he quickly added.

"Go on then. Find them." Piers fired back.

But straight after, Mr Ellwood's screen cut out, with Susanna adding: "Oh no. We've lost him."

Piers then joked: "We've vapourised him."
