The strange-looking side Manchester United may field against Cardiff City at Old Trafford on Sunday

Cardiff City may get to rue even more not taking their Premier League relegation fight to the final game of the season at Old Trafford on Sunday.

With their stay in the top flight ended by Crystal Palace in a 3-2 defeat at the Cardiff City Stadium last Saturday, this weekend Neil Warnock's Bluebirds could be up against one of the strangest looking sides United have fielded in the Premier League.

Because United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has drafted in youngsters Angel Gomes, Dylan Levitt, Arnau Puigmal, Mason Greenwood, James Garner and Tahith Chong into training this week for the season finale against his former side.

And though United can finish fifth with a win over the Bluebirds, and Arsenal dropping points against Burnley, Solskjaer could well use the Old Trafford match as chance to blood some youngsters with an eye on next season.

Welsh Under-19 international Levitt and Spanish midfielder Puigma have caught the eye performing in the United youth side this term and joined in with first-team regulars while Solskjaer oversaw training in Carrington.

Gomes, Greenwood and Garner have all been involved with the first-team at various stages of the season.

Greenwood is reportedly tipped to start against Cardiff having netted 30 goals across four age groups this term.
